My bed is high and the bench is upholstered and lower than the bed so it is a good way for her to get down. However, our 20 yr old granddaughter is staying with us and going to college. She is also working at Amazon.com in the evenings from 5:00pm to 1:30AM. She gets home about 2:00 in the morning and Jasmine always hears her come in the door. Jasmine gets so exited that she has jumped off our bed instead of going down the way she should. She is 4 months and about 2 or 21/2 lbs. I'm just guessing her weight but she is very tiny with a very tiny bone structure. I don't want to make her stop sleeping with us, but I don't want her break something.
It's almost as bad as having a baby in the house again. |
We go through this EVERY night with 2 adult sons living at home. Shelby has to greet the late arrivals and won't go back to sleep until she does her job. I taught her to use pillow stairs (stack a bunch of pillows by the bed) and it works out great. She gets on and off the bed that way and can use the wee pad during the night if she needs to. she has been sleeping with us since she was around 4 months old. It helps if you aren't too deep of a sleeper.
