Lol well.. with my experience I would recommend filling out an adoption application at each local shelter. That way, if a dog that fits your description comes in the shelter, then they can contact you. I applied for tons of dogs before I was actually even considered for one. I got so many calls from shelter workers declining my application or telling me the dog was already adopted. The dog I originally wanted, really already had a home with someone else before I even went to see him.. The whole process is very competitive- many people apply and only one gets the dog! They want the best home for each baby. I do know that Marshall's brother (littermate) apparently already has a home lined up. See.. I'm telling you it is competitive!
