I always remind him that he's small and fragile. He says that makes them more strong. And my miko is a little jumper. Right now, we are in the process of moving, and we have boxes everywhere and he's jumping off of the boxes!!! |
I live with 3 men (adult kids and hubby) and I constantly tell them the horror stories I read on here. Shelby is wild and crazy and full of it for a 3+ lb. dog. Jump? This dog thinks she can fly

I have pillow steps which she uses most of the time to get on/off the bed and I gate off dangerous areas of the house. I am teaching her not to jump off of the back of the couch.
It's exhausting.
Doing the best I can to keep things safe and allow for soft landings. At the same time I don't want her to become a couch potatoe. These dogs compete in agility training and are very coordinated.
We don't have to limit all of their fun. Running, jumping and playing is part of being a dog.
