 Female yorkie weight gain during heat
hi all
I have a question? My yorkie Jasmine had 2 c-sections one yr apart. It has been 6 month since her last puppy was born. we are not going to be breeding her. I notice her heat on the 11th of jan. She has not been been bred but noticed she has gained weight. She is eating and drinking water like normal.
She is hiding more in her crete. I was thinking she hiding to make sure my male shihtzu leaves her alone. I don't mix breed. He has a belly band on and we watch them closely. If we can not watch them we crete him. She has been more cling to me also. Here is my question? Is this her hormones causing her to act this way. I will proabaly get her vet checked to be on safe side. Wandering if I am just paranoid also?
