I never use a brush around the face, too easy to scratch an eye. I use Chris Christensen butter combs. For the face a small facial comb.
The type of brushes I use is highly dependent on the type of coat and at point of the grooming process I'm at. In other words I use several types, for drying, removing mats, final finishing, etc. I exhibit and groom so, I have an arsenal of different types of brushes and combs.
