Both my foster Yorkie & mini dachshund love Innova Evo. I tried Solid Gold & my dachshund ate it, but Sophie (the foster Yorkie) turned her nose up at it! BTW, my dachshund eats all food...
For a while, I made food for my mini dachshund (eggs, chicken, green beans, chicken broth, carrots) and she LOVED it. I made big batches & froze it. I would zap it in the microwave for each meal. It just got expensive & time-consuming, so we went back to Evo.
I've thought about going raw, but I get an icky feeling about feeding that to my furbabies! I know it's very good for them... | i had very icky feelings about raw before i started feeding it to milu as well. but i gave it a try because i think it's healthier for milu. it's not nearly as icky as i thought it was going to be. pre-made raw comes in little nuggets so it's really not that bad. i know primal has a starter pack, you can give that a try and see what you think about it.
