Exhibitors usually begin wrapping their face furnishings....a lot of work and sometimes it doesn't work. The other thing we do is only use water bottles, it keeps their furnishings dry, that cuts down on the food that gets stuck to their furnishings. The only thing I can recommend is making sure that you keep his face clean and combing it daily. The rubbing, well, I'm not sure that can be stopped.
Another thing that I forgot to mention any type of chews...I usually hold the chews for my show dogs and wash their face when they're done. But, your pups are pets.....My recommendation just keeping the face clean....don't stress them or you out.
