Treats, treats and more treats!

I would introduce the brush/comb slowly and give him a small piece of a treat each time you are able to get close to him with the brush/comb. Try just making the motion of brushing with the back of the brush at first, then thru the tines of the brush. Soon, hopefully, he won't even think about the brush.

At 2 years old, Hot Rod doesn't care to be brushed too much either but knows that he gets a treat after.

I use either a baby wipe or baby washcloth to wash their little faces. Good luck.
