You say you take him to work every day and he has always been so friendly...I think this is the problem...he is guarding his mom...what has started this behavious is hard to say really...but a lot of dogs do. One of our earlier yorkies always reacted like this when I walked him...but never when my hubby did...

This makes a good point. I have a similar issue with Duke(I posted earlier in this thread) I did notice something yesterday though. On Tuesday morning my ex stopped by to drop something off, and I was holding Duke when I answered the door. Duke was going crazy barking at him and growling a bit (good dog...lol

). Last night when he brought my son home Duke went right over to him and was fine. He even let him hold him.
Since Duke is very attached to me I think that could be the case that he is "protecting" My trainer told me you have to teach them that if you accept the person they should too....well that is easier said than done!!
