My GoGo started her first period pretty late I think, She's about 15months now and has been spotting a little this past week. Her vagina has gotten noticeably more swollen the last couple of days, though she has done a lot of "cleaning" down there which I try to stop her from over doing it. I just put a pair of panties on her. Will the swelling go down a little if she stops licking? Is there anything else I should do?
We're not sure if we want to spay her yet, we may decide for her to have one litter before we do.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Oh and we have a male unneutered pekingese but he seems uninterested in mating with her- will this change after she's done bleeding? Should I keep them separated and for how long?
