I first took Maya in with skin sores and hair loss on her tail and sides. They treated her for skin condition after doing skin scrapes, with antibiotics and they kept coming back and then she started to lose weight but was always hungry and thirsty and itchy,so they did thyroid tests. The thyroid profile came back indicating a thyroid condition and they started her on thyroid medicine which didn't improve anything so I took her to a dermatologist who thought it was Cushing's. They did the ACTH stim test and it showed Cushing's then they did an ultrasound to see if her adrenal glands were enlarged and they were normal so they started treatment. So it was over 6 months to get her diagnosed.
