Welcome and congratulations. She is vey tiny and young so it is very important that you make sure she is eating frequently (about every 4-5 hours) so that she doesn't get low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) which they can be prone to when so little. Is she eating dry food right now? If she is then as long as it is a quality dog food she should be fine. If she is not eating it very well you can moisten it or mix in some wet food. Just make sure she is eating. As far as introducing her to your others I would give her a day or so to settle in and then introduce the one at a time and maybe have someone else with you so you can quickly pick her up if needed. If your dogs are dog friendly they should all get along once they get use to each other. The main thing is to be careful with the size difference until you know they are all ok together and I wouldn't leave her with them unattended until she is much older. You will love having a yorkie! Just ask any questions you have and enjoy you new baby. I live in Gurnee, IL. |
