Yes some show breeders will keep them a secret, because if they were to admit to their champion dog producing such a FAULT, they would be expected to have that dog neutered. Hopefully they are just giving them away and not killing them,..
I does not occur in every pair of dogs, only in dogs who both carry the gene. Not every dog carries it.
