that really is a good idea. i wish i had thought of that. what i have done is make a pen by using pvc. make about a 4 foot square and make it as high as you want. i got some cheap $1.00 yd canvas type material at walmart and sewed it like curtains(using the pvc as a curtain rod, top and bottom). am i saying that right? any way it is cheap and nothing there to let them get hurt. right now it is high enough to keep the pups in and ahia can jump out. once they get where they might escape i will make it higher. around $20.
