Anyways, his stomach got messed up eating from eating that bone or whatever it was.

I have a dog on the i/d and he has been on it for over a year. He was put on it because he has blood disorder (its fatty, dont no the tech. name) and this has helped with that. He likes it, is doing well and he looks good. He will be on it for the rest of his life. I also had my beagle and sheltie (the dog that is on it now) on it a few years ago during the food recall they got very sick, this is what the vet put them on for about week and then I slowly transitioned them over to thier new food and they did fine, but I would do it slowly, it wont take much to set off a stomach that is already upset.
