Duke follows me everywhere. He could be sound asleep on my bed, but if I leave the room he is up in a flash following me.
I would NEVER put him up high and expect him to stay there. He's 7 lbs of terror. I've seen that dog jump from three steps high and fly into our family room.(good thing for carpet) I swear he thinks he's part bird..lol
They just love to be near you. Plus if he's not near me he's usually in trouble.
