This is definitely something to discuss at length with a good vet whose opinion you really trust (about vaccines).
I will tell what I would do -- if this were my baby and they had this kind of reaction to rabies, I would not be getting rabies again. I've had my boys to a wonderful Vet Derm (bc Marcel has enviro allergies - and Wylie was having skin issues...eventually was Dx w/ Atypical Cushings) -- anyway, I showed her areas on my boys bodies, both of whom have little "round spots" where vaccinations have permanently damaged the skin.
We had a long conversation about vaccination reactions. One thing she made *very* clear to me was that *any* time your baby has a reaction to a vaccine - the next time they have that vaccine, the body remembers, and the reaction could be much worse, or even life threatening -- so she said to take reactions very seriously. She says it's very realistic for owners to consider
not repeating vaccines ever again when there is a reaction.
