I've bout decided to get me a can of pepper spray or something. I love to walk this one trail . . . but can get spooky if no one is there.
Early on, when we just had Ringo, two men had let their German Shephards run loose. Matt reached down and picked Ringo up and their dogs started circling around my son; Ringo was growling and I was scared to death. Meanwhile, the men were calling their dogs - who weren't listening BTW, and yelling at me . . 'They're friendly".
Yeah right. Not when they are circling around my son with his little Westie in his arms.
They called their dogs off; but I've never forgotten how scared I was.
Maybe pepper spray or something is the answer. |
I was just thinking today that I am going to buy pepper spray. Today we got totally rushed by a HUGE black dog (off leash, just like all the dogs are around here). The way it approached, I wasn't sure if it meant business or not. I had my 3 kids and 2 yorkies with me. Thankfully my kids are use to all sizes of dogs, and weren't phased by it, but I couldn't help but to think of what
could have happened. That dog was almost as big as I am!
