The trick to opening his mouth is to keep his skin pinched over his teeth. He will not bite down if his skin is in the way. Also when you are trying to get whatever it is out of his mouth keep saying "drop it". Once you get it out praise him like crazy. After awhile he will start giving up what it is that he has so you will praise him. We have been doing this with Reesie for a couple of months and it has helped a lot! Hope this helps.
