Petsilk makes a hair gel you can use or a product called "Stick'em Up" is good too. Pull as much of the hair as you can up in a band (be careful, not too tight) and any of the stray hairs can then be gelled to stay up. You might have to redo the topknot during the day if it comes out. And, I always comb out and fix the topknot at bedtime and in the mornings.
