I had Angel for almost 4 weeks, she was a pom puppy (very active) from a puppy mill auction that was going out of business that the shelter I volunteer at rescued. The whole time I had her I kept telling myself you cannot keep her, you need to get her ready for her forever home. She had Giardia, was spayed the 2nd week I had her and then had a UTI so it was a very hectic 4 weeks. It really helped that my husband's boss and her adult daughter adopted her. So I get updates and they have a male poodle which is great as Angel loved playing with my girls. Also, between the 2 of their work schedules the dogs are only alone a couple of hours a day. So it was easier to let her go, but it still broke my heart. So I was happy that she found a great home, sad to see her go, but also a little relieved as one of my girls was not happy she was here and she was a lot of work being a puppy with health issues. I really admire people who do this all the time. I don't think I can do it again.
