My dh is having knee surgery next Tuesday. Last week he went to his primary doctor to get medical clearance and he was to get bloodwork and an EKG. It is the first time he is seeing this doctor mind you. The idiot says my dh doesn't need the EKG because according to him, he "has good ears". I wasn't able to go to the doctor with my husband that day. Well the surgical center just called me and told me that my dh can NOT have the surgery without the EKG. This doctor is an idiot. I called the office and told them that if the order says he is to do an EKG please tell him they can't rely on his hearing, it needs to be done!!! As it is my DH is a bit overweight and I, as a wife, am a bit concerned (but I would never tell him) I am just fuming right now. So now my DH has to take another day off from work to get this test done, and it needs to be done by next Tuesday. No wonder I hate doctors.
