Every dog is different, but I am still potting training 2 boys, they are @ 9 months old. They eat only kibble, once in the am, once in the pm. I do not put food or water in their kennel. They are in the kennel from 9 am until 11 am when I come home at lunch, I put them back in the kennel at noon and I let them out again at 3 pm when I get home. Bailey should be fine in her kennel for the times you described. She is old enough to hold herself for 5 hours and then some. There is no reason she would need food or water while in there. If you are worried about the water issue, put an ice cube in her dish. Good luck. My two are pretty trustworthy in the house now. When I got them at 4 months they were pad trained but not outdoors. I rather not use the pads as they have access to outside through doggy doors, when they're not in the kennel.
