I agree with this as well. Even when I walk daisy who is 20 lbs if a large dog approaches I always pick her up. Daisy has been attacked before. Luckily I was able to save her with a minor wound. So now I pick her up when I see a large dog approaching and I am always on a look out for lose dogs.
