This is certainly true. My baby had a liver shunt, and it was repaired a U. of Tenn. I think it would be a good idea to have your yorkies b a t's checked at least every 2 years. Just to be safe. I have heard of yorkies that 7 years old having liver shunts.
But be aware that any dog can have a liver shunt, so it is a good idea for everyone to
know the signs of a liver shunt..
