I guess one of the first questions should be is he familiar with small dogs. Has he treated many small dogs and specifically yorkies.
You should be able to get a feel within the first few moments of your visit. Does he have patience with you on your questions, do you feel that he's taking his time in listening and answering you or do you get the feeling of being rushed?
