Thanks for replying.
I was reading up on the behavior last night and it seems that although it could be dominance rather than sexual, it could also be a form of play. Some experts believe that when some dogs are in a hyper/excitable state this is how they interact with other dogs. Judging by the way he was acting (and being that he's very hyper already), I believe this was the cause. I just hate that he won't be able to interact with our poodle :-(
