I think we're all used to closing the un-used eye...and that's what I do...but I sometimes try to leave it open bc that eye does get "sore", or something? Or tense? Esp. when doing macro stuff, for some reason. But, I do find it hard to keep both eyes open...I think you have to train yourself to get used to that.
But if your camera has Live View...then you don't even have to worry about it. Of course Live View doesn't always work - like say, in super bright sun, it's sometimes hard to see a digital camera's screen - do you know what I mean?
