I use waterproof crib liners. they last longer and are washable. I just pick up the poo and flush it. I wait until I have a 1/2 load full and run them threw a rinse then a wash cycle by themselves. just like I did with the cloth diapers for my son. I only use disposables when traveling.
As far as the ecology goes, you either add to a land fill or use water, which is worse? I don't know! Donna
