As a small dog owner, you have to always be on your toes when you are walking your dogs. I make sure I am always alert to ensure that I am not snuck up on by strange dogs. Any dog that comes running towards Couver and me-- Couver is picked up. I feel it is safer to have him in my arms where I can assess the dog and then make the decision if I allow them to meet. So far, I haven't had an aggressive dog approach me, but I'm not taking any chances.
So my advices is to take them on walks, but make sure you are alert while doing so. |
