I really don't know what a staph infection looks like, but these little bumps get so inflamed.....she itches and bites at herself all the time. Poor baby, her hair is getting so thin. Do you think that if the infection is bad enough, it could raise her platelet count or could it be all of these shots. I just can't figure it out.....I am so worried about this high count. I just hope its not a blood disease! She is going back on Tuesday for more blood work. I hate to switch Vets because she is suppose to have surgery on her knee soon, and the Surgeon is with these Drs. I know they will not do surgery until they figure out what's going on!!!!! Thanks again. Joy and Chloe
well I am not feeling comfortable especially if they gave you deramaxx for a skin condition and why does your baby need surgery for knee if so i would have an orthopedic look at this dog before surgery this all could be a blessing in disguise - sounds like staph and they lose hair with staph -did you look at my pic below? also you do not want a dog going for surgery with a staph infection - Please take to dermatologist, hold off on surgery until orthopedic looks at this as my gut is not good with this vet. Sounds like drugs that are being given are causing blood work to be off

what other drugs are being given If they are giving steroid shot with an nsaid you are going to have a mess as those should NEVER EVER BE GIVEN TOGETHER EVER
