 Newborn open fontanel?
Okay, my dad had a litter of puppies today (well, HE didn't, but one of his Yorkies did). 5 pups, 4 boys and a girl. The girl has an 'off' look to her face and she has a 'bubble' on the top of her head right in the center... I wondered what it was, and I lightly touched it to see if it was hard, soft, etc. When I touched it, it went away and I could feel that her skull was 'open'. I feel like an idiot not knowing what it is, but what is it? The same parents have had 2 litters previously with no health issues what so ever... I have never seen anything like this before and neither has my dad... Can't go to the vet until Monday, I just wondered if anyone knew. |
