These little guys are very sensitive and it breaks your heart when these guys loose their 1st home and we certainly aren't going to put them through it again a second time.
I just wish more people would think about the dog first instead of themselves. The ones looking for a teacup, babyface, intact females for $300 send shivers up my back as I know the chances are very high that the dog or its pups will end up in rescue.
If the world was perfect we would not need that many rescue organizations that are out there for Yorkies. But on any given day there are close to 300 Yorkies that are in Yorkie only rescue and how many are in pounds we don't know. This not a Yorkie only problem but an out of control problem in the US. Just go to petfinder and see how many purebred dogs are in rescue or at animal control. Look at the statistics of how many animals are euthanized every year (in the millions).

The only reason it is an "ignorant comment" is because those same comments were directed at me because of my current "life situation" and it really got me irritated. I spoil my dog to no ends and it irks me that someone who doesnt know me would start saying these things just because they hear i have a full time job or am in college ect.... there are situations where this is the case and the pups end up in rescues, but for someone to
accuse people of it is what is irritating
