I've owned four Yorkies over many years and each one has had it's own very different personality and quirkiness.
I now only have Sam who will be sixteen years old this May. Sam HATES to be brushed and cutting his nails, well forget it, even the vet has a fight with him over it, which the vet finds highly amusing given Sam's age and the fact that he has no teeth. He's so fiesty when it comes to brushing and nails that's it really quite funny
Your little one may grow out of it but I suspect that you've got a little girl that has a fiesty personality and yes she'll calm down some as she gets older but that personality will be be with her forever. Try to stay calm when dealing with her, shouting won't help but a calm firm raised voice will and be persistant, don't stop what you're doing and let her think she's won. Training is possible but as you said Yorkies are a in a different league and you MUST be willing to dedicate alot of time and most of all persistance. She'll eventually realize that YOU are the boss.
