The bitch could not have been sold "Limited regs AND no papers". The breeder kept the papers...limited or full makes no matter, the owner has neither..

The bitch was sold without papers and the breeder should have had a contract stating what the terms of the sale, but they left the door open for more money later...
Perhaps, the breeder orally said, no breeding...but you have to look at this from a legal angle and AKC's side of it.

Oral contracts are ethically binding IMO, but AKC does not recognize oral contracts...they only care how the papers are marked...when none are given with the sale of the pupp, they are not happy about it...they get no revenue from the sale.

Buyer bred the bitch...the breeder is quite willing to change the registration for more money..it is all about the money...I would spay my bitch without papers, place my pups and not register them...the breeder can sit with his hand out until the cows come home.
