Let me just say new Mom, first take a deep breath and realize that it won't be like this for long. Pixie is 5.5 months and we have good days and bad. I have learned that the more stressed out I get about the potty training the worse she does. lol Kinda like a toddler when we are potty training our children.
I have found that if I give Pixie the run of the house she does TERRIBLE so I limit her to the living room. When she does go on the pad I have to make a big deal about it like she has just won a million dollars! lol
Having a new puppy at times can be stressful, but you just have to keep in mind that things don't always stay the same and once your puppy realizes what you want from them it gets better and better every day. Good luck and don't sweat the small stuff!
