People who groom are at times preferential to a certain brand. You'll notice that the Wahl and Andis clippers have a slightly different design. I noticed this when I was at my breeders house a few months ago. Some poeple prefer one brand over another because their more comfortable to hold. I personally like the Andis brand and felt the $65 was a good one to start with. I have no intentions of replacing it any time soon.
I don;t know that you need that much speed for a clipper.
One thing to keep in mind is that its a good idea to buy some some clipperside spray.
