Leah, first- congratulations on your marriage and also soon to become a Yorkie mom. These little dogs are just like taking care of a human baby. I got Maggie when I retired. She is my constant companion. They don't do well, left alone. I keep Maggie in a semi-puppy cut. Her body hair is 3" long. Her tummy and chest clipped short. Her legs left about 1 and 1/2" long. Her hair is very easy to take care of. She gets a bath every week. A light brushing each evening is all that I need to do, to keep her hair very nice. I use the Chrissy System products. Once about every six weeks, she goes to the groomer. Yorkies don't shed, so that right away is a BIG plus. Yorkies are active, but if you live in an apartment, then a daily walk of about 15 minutes is great. Holler anytime you have anymore questions.
