Hi, I keep my dogs with me at all times when I am home. If they're prone to wandering off I put them on a leash so I can monitor what they are doing. When I leave they go into my laundry room which has a dog door to my fenced back yard. That way they are be heated or cooled in the house yet have access to play and potty outside but they can't make mishchief to the rest of the house. The dog door was the very best thing I ever did for them and for me!
