I agree. I know reputable breeders that won't even consider it without meeting the other dog(s). Of course I would ask first. I think it's a good idea but keep in mind that how your dog reacts at the breeder's house with a dog does not mean they will act like that when you bring the new pup home. (Of course that is just my opinion.) Good luck in your search!
