The biting has gotten much better and yes I've been scolding for getting him so early. New mom...I've learned my lesson. I tried all types of things to get him to stop biting and then I remembered that this is something his mother should have taught him so I tried to think what she would do. So when he was biting I would pick him up by his puppy skin (broke my heart) and would look him in the eye and say "no biting" very sternly. Now if he even accidently catches a nibble during play he stops as soon as I go for the skin.
