Sometime he will want to play with a toy and we will play fetch but he has not wanted to do that very much lately. We though about getting another yorkie so that he would have a friend just like him but, we don't want him to become so attached to his new friend that he will no longer want to spend time with us. We thought about getting a little female but we also don't want him to start marking his territory.
I guess my question would be: If we did get him a female friend will he mark up the house and not wait to have as much to do with us?
If we were to get another male: would they fight and would they both mark up the house?

Thank you in advance for your response
Sometimes adding another dog whether it is a male or female can trigger marking even in neutered males. I know people who have had this problem when another dog just comes for a visit. One woman I know did Yorkie rescue and her ten year old neutered male began marking when one particular male fostered with them.
