Default Photography classes are starting next month

My local school district offers community education classes once a year I think it is. I got the latest class schedule in the mail yesterday and they have some really good sounding photography classes starting in February!!

My only concern is that I may not have my camera before the first class begins. I plan to order a week or two before that class starts so I'm praying that it gets here in time. Anyway, this is a summary of each class and what they cost. Does this sound like something I would benefit from, and is the cost reasonable (I honestly have NO idea on the cost part). The first class is a prerequisite for the second, and so on, so I can't just pick and choose which ones to take.

Basic Digital Photography for Single Lens Reflex Cameras: Come & learn what the bells & whistles of your digital camera are all about. Learn the ins & outs of the basic digital camera functions along with simple composition rules. (2 - 2 hour sessions $40). (This is the only class that does not specifically say to bring your camera - so I may be ok on that part, although I'd rather have it).

Photography 101: Learn about proper ISO settings, lighting, shutter speeds, apertures and creative approaches that will enhance your photography. (2 - 2 hour sessions $40).

Photography 102: Applying creative techinques, aperatures and shutter speeds to make the perfect exposure on all images. (2 - 2 hour sessions and 1 - 2 hour field trip $50).

They are also offering Portrait Photography and Sports Action Photography, but I'm not planning to take those (unless the other classes are just really awesome).

So, what do you think? Should I go ahead and enroll? Class space is limited, so I want to enroll early. (Sorry this turned out so long - I thought I just had a quick question).
