Well, my collecting started with Barbies. I have them from 1960-2009. Then, it went into her clothing, playsets and miniatures for her playsets! Needless to say, Barbie has her own room with a large pink/black sign above the door saying "Barbie Blvd". I hate to admit it but I have so much in that room that I can barely move around in there. I have boxes stacked with unopened boxes of clothes and dolls. Then, I have 3 tall shelving units full of her displayed in some of the playsets (office, boutique, bedroom and nursery). This all led to the collecting of Little Tikes miniature play items for the displays. Beanie Babies --- yes, I have TONS of those, too. Of course I thought that I needed two of everything so that my daughter had a set. Again, in boxes. Hallmark ornaments. I'm not as obsessed with these except that I get one for each of my kids every year and I tried to keep them from "sets" such as Barbie for my daughter and "sports guys" for my son. McDonalds - not only do we have the full sets of the tiny Beanie Babies but I have sets from back in 1988 like Bambi. OMG - they're in barrels! Last but not least - Harley Davidson & Yorkies. We haven't gotten obsessive about them but those are our new focus now. Poor Barbie - she's going to get downsized and have to share a room with Mia & Max. I plan on getting one of those signs like Barbie has except it says "Yorkie Ave"! hahaha! My daughter collected turtles, pirates, gorillas and anything Jack Daniels! Good thing she's "legal"! Where does everyone keep their collections?
