My son is a vet tech and yes he says that is the norm that dogs have to stay overnight, My Prada was 6 pounds when she got spayed and she came home the same day because my son took it under his care but my other dog Relay had to stay overnight when he got neutered. I am sure your baby will be fine and they will take very good care of her, and I had a full blood panel done in my Prada before she was spayed, I did not do that for my Relay just a regular pre op blood test did it for him, since he is much bigger at 8 pounds and a mix, he is a yorkie Rusell.
