This is just simply an FYI post. Levi and I went for our usual walk Sunday evening. When I got home he started limping. Checked his pads no cuts or anything, felt around his leg...nothing. I decided I would wait and see if it was better the next day. Monday morning comes, he is much worse so I called the vet and set up an appointment for Tuesday.Almost looked like he had a hip injury. Monday night comes worse night of my life....Levi was shaking, feverish and totally out of sorts. I almost called for an ER appointment and I don't get nervous easily. Come to find out Levi's blood test came back positive for Lyme disease. I would have never guessed in a million years. He is on advantix year round, so I thought I was safe. The vet prescribed antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory and Levi is much better. Rest of blood came back normal, so he should come out of this just fine. But, scary.
