I have learned a lot from reading the post about the spaying process and that I need to ask for blood work to be done...not to just assume the vet will do it.
My question is this, my vet would like Bella to stay overnight due to her size. She weighs 2.5 lbs at 9 months. Is the overnight stay normal? The mommee in me says that she would be more comfortable at home with me but I am unsure. The vet said she would let her go home but someone had to be with her all the time for the first 24 hours. Plus, she would have strict guidelines for me to follow. I had planned on taking time off to watch over her. My vet is experienced with Yorkies and told me that Bella is the smallest one she has cared for. She is also a Yorkie mom too. I trust her and Bella loves her
. After reading what can go wrong I am unsure what to do. Anyone run into this before?
