this happened to me about a year ago but it showed that i was 2,000 dollars in the hole my husband freaked completely out and this was on a sat night around 11 so we couldnt contact the bank until monday. So he called and canceled the debit cards over the phone and when monday rolled around and we called the bank it was all an atm error so then we had to go through the whole process of getting new cards it was a HUGE pain.
