That's a good question but I don't know if there is an actuall answer.
A puppy, they say, can hold it urine for 1hr for each month that it is.
So a puppy that is 5mos old should be able to hold it's pee for 5hrs
increasing this time as it get's older. Some Yorkies are very hard to
train, it seems to be a fact for the breed. I know some member's have
small Yorkies who are fully trained all day. Buddy is a larger boy,
weighing 16lbs and he's good for 9 1/2hrs. We sleep in on weekends
and have gone as long as 10 hrs without any problem. Weather this
has anything to do with his size I have no idea. He has no water
during that time because were sleeping.
If your baby is a small one leaving a pee pad down during the time
your away may be a good idea if you think he can't or won't hold it.
In general, yes, Yorkies can hold it for 9hrs, depends on the Yorkie.
Good luck and welcome.
