I'd really suggest trying the Nothing in Life is Free program with Lily. It puts you in charge of the resources and makes Lily work for them. It is recommended by the Humane Society.

Perfect answer and a great book. I wish I knew about it when Buddy was
a puppy but didn't find out about it until AFTER THE FACT. He got that
way around the same age. I never knew it could esculate, having a german
shepard for 16yrs and a terrier mix for 15yrs. I could take anything away from them, kids roughed house with them etc, never even a flintch. Then along
came Buddy. Different strokes for different breeds. Yorkies have a mind of their own and want what they want. It's time to become a leader to a little
puppy. You'll get great insight from the book Jane suggested, it really does
train you to train your puppy so both of you can live and enjoy life together.
